Does God ever Change? [99 in :99]

December 11, 2019 | Aaron Armstrong

Does God grow and learn? Does He change His mind or His point of view?  Let’s answer these questions by looking at what the Bible says about an attribute of God.

The Bible describes God as being the same “yesterday, today, and forever.” He does not change. His being and attributes, along with all of the ethical commitments He gives, do not change.

That’s hard for people to understand because it’s completely the opposite of us. We learn new skills and ideas, and we change our opinions and perspectives as we do. We are always growing and developing. But God doesn’t do that because God isn’t like us. He knows everything. He understands everything. He is perfect because He just is.

While it’s hard for us to understand, God’s unchanging nature is good news.

It’s good news because God does not change His mind or go back on His promises. He is “s not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind.” God always does what He says He will do.

It’s good news because it means that, now and forever, there is only one way to receive the forgiveness of sin: by faith in Jesus Christ alone, who lived, died, and rose again to rescue and redeem His people.

And it’s good news because it means we can have assurance and peace of mind that the God who brought them out of darkness into His marvelous light is the God who is bringing us into eternity.

    Mr. Aaron Armstrong,
Brand manager of the Gospel project

The Gospel Project so far presents as a site to be trusted in teaching the truths of the Bible. However, there’s not much variation in people group representation.

As a teacher to children of color, other than white, the children don’t see themselves represented amoung those God has intusted to present His teaching. Ouchhh!

Visual effects are crucial to the learning process, as the Gospel Project exhibits, and identification happens, or not, based on what is seen, as well as what is not seem. It is important.
I am still looking… Through His Eyes
    Regards,
    MDGraham
